Parker comes to technology marketing through a non-traditional path. He began his career in journalism writing for his hometown paper in Sarasota, Florida. He eventually worked his way to managing editor for several websites at Hearst Interactive in New York City.
While in New York, he was part of a team that launched a content marketing consultancy inside the biggest communications agency in the world, and also built a native advertising business at the oldest newspaper in the city.
After working for large brands like Unilever, Pepsico, and Norvartis he moved to London to lead in-house digital marketing strategy for Capgemini, a 200,000-person IT consultant based in Paris, France.
Parker’s passion lies in building the machinery that unlocks creativity inside organizations. Platform and channel strategy, production departments, and paid media are all important pieces of the puzzle.
After three years in London, where he traveled widely from Poland to Mumbai to Morocco, he moved back to the US and landed in Silicon Valley with his girlfriend and Irish basset hound, Yeats.
Parker joins YML with the desire to bring the right kind of awareness and engagement to the world-changing technologies and design thinking the firm is producing. He likes to bring a holistic approach to making recommendations and can’t wait to tell the big stories being written across YML’s client projects.
When not working you can usually find him going to Crossfit, playing golf, or taking a nap with Yeats on the couch.
